That is to say, they compared with other metals are indeed strong, but they are light in weight and do not corrode under certain conditions. Composition of the material varies depending on the grade, for example, commercially pure titanium (Grade 2) which consists of about 99% titanium for enhanced corrosion resistance, whereas an alloy grade such as Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) contains 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium, which makes this alloy grade more unique with respect to excellent high-strength characteristics and also many of its applications.
