With a minimum titanium content of 99.5%, Titanium Grade 1 is the softest and most ductile of all commercially available pure titanium grades. It has trace amounts of carbon (maximum 0.08%), oxygen (maximum 0.18%), and iron (maximum 0.2%). Excellent corrosion resistance is provided by this grade, especially in environments that are oxidising and mildly reducing. It has an elongation of up to 24%, a yield strength of about 170 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 240 to 290 MPa.
