Depending on the grade (e.g., 304, 316, 410), stainless steel rectangular bars are usually made of iron alloyed with nickel, chromium (10–20%), and trace amounts of carbon, manganese, and molybdenum. These bars have a high tensile strength (between 485 and 750 MPa), good machinability, and outstanding corrosion resistance. While martensitic grades offer hardness and resistance to wear, austenitic grades offer exceptional ductility and toughness, even at low temperatures. Rectangular stainless steel bars retain their structural integrity under severe environmental conditions and mechanical stress. Depending on the grade, they are also either non-magnetic or mildly magnetic.
