Superior raw materials and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques are used to create the SS 431 square bars and rods, guaranteeing their maximum mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion. Neil Metals provides customised solutions, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery to both domestic and foreign markets through a strong supply chain and a customer-centric approach.
Stainless Steel 431 is a martensitic alloy of stainless steel with less than 0.20 percent carbon, 1.25 to 2.5% nickel, and 15 to 17% chromium. After heat treatment, it provides good hardness, a yield strength of about 600 MPa, and a high tensile strength of 850–1000 MPa. Along with good toughness and fatigue resistance, SS 431 offers exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly in mild chemical and marine environments. When properly annealed, it shows good machinability and has a magnetic nature. Because of its mechanical characteristics, it can be used in applications requiring moderate corrosion protection, strength, and resistance to wear.

Applications needing high strength, good toughness, and corrosion resistance are best suited for stainless steel 431 square bars and rods. Because of their resilience to saltwater conditions, they are frequently found in marine parts like bolts, pump shafts, and propeller shafts. SS 431 is utilised for fasteners, engine parts, and aircraft parts in the automotive and aerospace industries. It is also appropriate for turbine blades, valve parts, and chemical processing equipment. Their durability allows for long-term performance in corrosive and high-stress environments, and their high mechanical strength and hardenability make them ideal for structural applications.
We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
