Our SS 431 round bars provide a great blend of strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance, and are designed for demanding mechanical and industrial applications. These round bars are perfect for use in high-stress and corrosive environments because they are made with cutting-edge methods and meet international quality standards. With a dedication to excellent quality, accurate machining, and prompt delivery, Neil Metals provides services to a variety of industries in India and abroad, including engineering, automotive, marine, and aerospace.
Stainless Steel 431 is a martensitic, high-strength alloy of stainless steel that has up to 0.20% carbon, 1.25–2.5% nickel, and 15–17% chromium. After heat treatment, it attains exceptional mechanical qualities, including good toughness and tensile strength of up to 850 MPa. In mild conditions, the alloy shows a moderate resistance to corrosion and is magnetic in nature. Additionally, SS 431 offers strong resistance to oxidation, stress corrosion, and fatigue. This grade is perfect for components that need strength, wear resistance, and some corrosion protection because it can be heat-hardened.

Round bars and rods made of stainless steel 431 are frequently used in applications that call for moderate corrosion resistance and high strength. Typical applications include turbine blades, fasteners, valve parts, aircraft parts, marine shafts, and pump rods. It is perfect for heavy-duty mechanical assemblies, automotive parts, and oil and gas tools due to its exceptional toughness and resistance to cracking. SS 431 is preferred in the marine and aerospace industries for parts subjected to corrosive substances and dynamic loads. It is also appropriate for use in chemical and food processing equipment where cleanability and mechanical integrity are crucial.
We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
