The composition of stainless steel 347H Hex Bars/Rods is 9–13% nickel, 17–19% chromium, and stabilised with niobium (columbium) to prevent intergranular corrosion. For increased high-temperature strength, the “H” grade contains more carbon (0.04–0.10%). This alloy exhibits good elongation and durability at high temperatures, with a yield strength of 205 MPa and a tensile strength of roughly 515 MPa. It is appropriate for high-stress, high-heat applications in challenging conditions because it retains structural integrity during thermal cycling and welding.
