Chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), molybdenum (2–3%), and very little carbon (maximum 0.03%) are all present in stainless steel 316L Hex Bars/Rods. By reducing carbide precipitation, the low carbon improves corrosion resistance while welding. Even at cryogenic temperatures, this austenitic stainless steel shows outstanding toughness, yield strength (~170–220 MPa), and high tensile strength (about 485–585 MPa). Better mechanical engagement and grip are offered by the hexagonal shape.
