Neil Metals stands out as a leading manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 316L Forgings, proudly based in Kolkata, India. We’re known for our precision engineering and commitment to quality, producing 316L forgings that meet the high standards of industries around the globe. Our forgings are made from top-notch stainless steel and utilize advanced forging techniques, ensuring they boast exceptional corrosion resistance, durability, and precise dimensions. The low-carbon nature of Stainless Steel 316L makes it perfect for applications that require excellent weldability and resistance to sensitization. At Neil Metals, we focus on delivering tailored forging solutions with quick service and a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and international quality standards.
Stainless Steel 316L Forgings are made up of chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), molybdenum (2–3%), and low carbon (<0.03%), with iron making up the rest. This unique blend significantly boosts corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich environments. The alloy provides a tensile strength of about 485 MPa, a yield strength of 170 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 40%. Its Brinell hardness is around 150 HB. The low carbon content in 316L minimizes the risk of carbide precipitation during welding, making it a great choice for high-temperature and corrosive applications in critical sectors like chemical processing and marine engineering.
