The composition of stainless steel 316H bars and rods includes molybdenum (2–3%), nickel (10–14%), chromium (16–18%), and a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) for increased strength. Particularly at high temperatures, this grade shows outstanding resistance to oxidation, pitting, and crevice corrosion. It provides good creep resistance and a high tensile strength of approximately 515–585 MPa.
