Stainless Steel 310S Hollow Bar is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with 24–26% chromium, 19–22% nickel, and low carbon content (up to a maximum of 0.08%). This composition offers excellent resistance against oxidation, sulfidation, and carburization at higher temperatures. The alloy provides a tensile strength of about 520 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and satisfactory elongation and toughness. 310S is the low-carbon form of SS 310, which improves weldability and minimizes the possibility of sensitization when exposed to high-temperature service. These attributes make 310S suitable for thermal environments that demand structural integrity and resistance to corrosion.
