Nitronic Bars and Rods are high-performance austenitic stainless steel alloys consisting mostly of chromium (20–23%), manganese (4–6%), and nitrogen (0.2–0.4%), with moderate nickel and molybdenum. Grades Nitronic 50 and Nitronic 60 provide better mechanical properties, i.e., high tensile strength (to 1250 MPa), good yield strength, and excellent galling and wear resistance. These grades also maintain strength and ductility over a broad range of temperature from cryogenic to high temperatures and provide excellent corrosion resistance in chlorinated, acidic, and marine environments.
