Monel Square Bars are mainly made up of about 63% Nickel and 28–34% Copper, along with trace amounts of Iron, Manganese, Carbon, and Silicon. This distinctive nickel-copper alloy provides outstanding resistance to seawater, acids, and alkalis. In terms of mechanical properties, Monel boasts a tensile strength of roughly 550–620 MPa and a yield strength of around 240–345 MPa, depending on how it’s processed. It also maintains excellent ductility and toughness across a wide temperature range. Monel keeps its strength even in sub-zero conditions and resists stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for demanding and corrosive applications.
