Neil Metals, based in Kolkata, India, stands out as a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-performance Monel K500 Bars and Rods. They cater to industries that require exceptional corrosion resistance, high strength, and outstanding mechanical properties. Renowned for their precision engineering, Neil Metals provides Monel K500 products that adhere to international standards, making them perfect for critical applications in marine, chemical, oil & gas, and aerospace sectors. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, strict quality control, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, Neil Metals guarantees timely delivery and customized specifications for Monel K500 Bars and Rods, serving both domestic and global markets.
Monel K500 Bars and Rods are primarily made up of nickel (63–70%) and copper (27–33%), with small amounts of aluminum (2.3–3.15%) and titanium (0.35–0.85%) added to boost strength through age hardening. This alloy merges the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 with enhanced mechanical strength and hardness. It boasts a tensile strength of approximately 960–1100 MPa and a yield strength of around 690–860 MPa. Monel K500 maintains its strength even in sub-zero temperatures, is non-magnetic, and offers remarkable resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and erosion in both marine and chemical environments.

Temperature control during the forging of Monel K500 ensures optimal microstructure, improving strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance. It prevents defects like cracking and ensures consistent quality.
To improve the surface finish of forged Monel K500 parts, use techniques like polishing, grinding, or shot peening. Additionally, applying chemical treatments such as pickling can help remove oxides and enhance smoothness.
To determine if Monel K500 forgings meet your needs, evaluate their mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and compliance with industry standards.
Monel K500 Bars and Rods find extensive use in industries that demand high strength, durability, and corrosion resistance in extreme conditions. In the marine sector, they are perfect for pump shafts, propeller shafts, and components exposed to seawater. The oil and gas industry utilizes them in valve components, drill collars, and downhole equipment. In chemical processing, they are essential for handling corrosive solutions and high-temperature fluids. Aerospace applications include fasteners and structural components that face high stress. Additionally, Monel K500’s non-sparking properties make it a reliable choice for explosive environments, ensuring safety and performance in the most challenging operational settings.
We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
