Haynes HR-160 is a high-performance nickel-cobalt-chromium-silicon alloy consisting predominantly of approximately 37% nickel, 29% cobalt, 28% chromium, and 2.75% silicon, with minor additions of molybdenum, iron, and rare earth elements. This alloy is specially designed to withstand hostile environments with high temperatures, sulfidation, carburization, and chloridation. Mechanical characteristics consist of tensile strength of around 765–775 MPa, yield strength of 315–320 MPa, and elongation of over 60%. Haynes HR-160 has good ductility and oxidation resistance up to 1200°C (2200°F).
