Neil Metals, based in Kolkata, India, has made a name for itself as a top-notch manufacturer and supplier of high-quality Hastelloy C22 Forgings. Renowned for their precision engineering and dedication to international standards, Neil Metals crafts forged components that excel in the most corrosive and high-temperature settings. Hastelloy C22 Forgings are perfect for industries that demand outstanding chemical resistance and mechanical strength. With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and rigorous quality control, Neil Metals provides custom-forged solutions to clients in the chemical processing, marine, pharmaceutical, and power generation sectors, ensuring durability, performance, and timely delivery for even the most critical and challenging applications.
Hastelloy C22 Forgings mainly consist of nickel (about 56%), chromium (20–22.5%), molybdenum (12.5–14.5%), and iron (2–6%), along with cobalt, tungsten, and trace elements. This unique composition grants them excellent resistance to both oxidizing and reducing agents. On the mechanical side, C22 forgings boast a tensile strength of around 690 MPa, a yield strength of about 283 MPa, and an elongation of up to 45%. These characteristics remain stable even at elevated temperatures and under high stress, making the forgings ideal for harsh chemical environments and high-performance industrial applications that require both strength and corrosion resistance.

Yes, Hastelloy C22 can be forged into custom shapes, as it has good formability and strength at elevated temperatures. However, it requires precise control during the forging process to maintain its properties.
The ideal temperature range for forging Hastelloy C22 is between 2,100°F (1,150°C) and 2,300°F (1,260°C). This ensures optimal formability and minimizes the risk of damaging the material's properties.
The forging process for Hastelloy C22 typically takes several minutes to hours, depending on the complexity and size of the part. The heating and cooling cycles also influence the total time required for forging.
Hastelloy C22 Forgings find their place in industries where resistance to severe corrosion and mechanical stress is essential. In chemical and petrochemical plants, they are utilized in reactors, scrubbers, and piping systems that come into contact with strong acids and oxidizing agents. The pharmaceutical sector employs them for processing equipment that needs to resist contamination. In marine settings, they are perfect for pumps, shafts, and components that face saltwater exposure. Power plants depend on them for condensers and heat exchangers that operate in corrosive conditions. Their impressive strength and corrosion resistance also make them a great fit for pollution control systems and flue gas scrubbers.
We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
