Aluminium 7050 Bars and Rods are high-strength aluminium alloys, primarily made up of about 90% aluminium, 5.7–6.7% zinc, 2.0–2.6% magnesium, and 2.0–2.6% copper. This unique blend provides them with remarkable strength, excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and good toughness. These bars and rods boast a tensile strength of approximately 510–570 MPa, a yield strength of around 430–470 MPa, and impressive fatigue resistance. Aluminium 7050 is also heat-treatable and offers good machinability, making it an ideal choice for structural components where both strength and corrosion resistance are crucial in harsh environments.

Yes, Aluminum 7050 can be forged into shapes with tight tolerances, as it offers good strength and machinability. However, precise control over temperature and pressure is required for optimal results.
Aluminum 7050 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its limited heat resistance. It is better suited for aerospace and structural applications, offering good strength at lower temperatures.
Aluminum 7050 offers high strength, excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and good fatigue resistance. It's ideal for aerospace and military applications, providing superior performance in custom forgings.
Aluminium 7050 Bars and Rods find extensive use in applications where high strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance are essential. In the aerospace sector, they are utilized for aircraft structural components like wing spars, fuselage frames, and bulkheads. The military and defense industries incorporate them into armored vehicles and missile components. The marine sector benefits from their resistance to seawater corrosion, using them in structural parts of boats. Additionally, they are employed in high-performance sports equipment, tooling, and automotive components. The high strength-to-weight ratio of Aluminium 7050 makes it an excellent choice for any setting that demands lightweight yet durable materials.
