Aluminium 5754 is a non-heat-treatable alloy that mainly consists of magnesium (2.6–3.6%), along with trace amounts of manganese (≤0.5%), chromium (≤0.3%), iron, silicon, and titanium, with aluminum making up the rest. This alloy is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and industrial settings. Its mechanical properties include tensile strength ranging from 190 to 330 MPa, yield strength between 80 and 280 MPa, and elongation of 12–20%, depending on the temper. Aluminium 5754 also boasts good weldability, moderate strength, and high fatigue resistance, making it a great choice for various forged components.

Aluminum 5754 has excellent workability, making it easy to forge. Its good formability allows for intricate shapes, but requires careful temperature control to prevent cracking and ensure quality.
Aluminum 5754 offers excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, good weldability, and formability. It's lightweight, resistant to stress corrosion cracking, and performs well in marine and industrial environments.
The forging process for Aluminium 5754 typically takes a few hours to a day, depending on the complexity, size, and type of forging, including heating, shaping, and cooling stages.
Aluminium 5754 forgings find extensive use in industries where corrosion resistance, strength, and formability are crucial. In the marine sector, they are perfect for ship structures, hulls, and deck components due to their ability to withstand saltwater. In the automotive and transportation fields, they are utilized in fuel tanks, floor panels, and structural reinforcements. The construction industry also relies on 5754 forgings for load-bearing elements, façades, and framework components. Additionally, this alloy is ideal for food processing equipment, storage tanks, and chemical containers, thanks to its durability and resistance to various environmental factors.
We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
